Wishtel Launches Low-Cost Tablets To Beat The Aakash Tablet

The Aakash 2 tablet, as we know is the world’s cheapest tablet around. But now the tablet is receiving a close competition now. Wishtel is the name of the company that has created this low priced tablet for India that even has the support of regional languages.


The company has announced two low cost tablets called as IRA and IRA Things and are priced in between Rs. 4,000 and 5,500. Made by a complete Indian company the tablet has the Indian feeling. The tablet is largely focused on educational and corporate department one.

Wishtel IRA is priced at Rs. 4,000 and IRA Thing is priced at Rs. 5,500.

Features of both tablets

The company has provided eBook reader app in both the models that allows to read eBooks in Hindi and English of course. Students using any of the slate can also read the study content available for ICSE, CBSE, state board, medical, engineering and many more books from different fields that are available for studying in other higher education.
Both the tablets miss the camera feature. However now that the tablet is focused mainly on
Students, missing the camera seems to be okay.

Wishtel is Mumbai city based IT products maker who also bided for the Aakash tablet. They were the second lowest bidder after Datawind. And now the company is trying to bid in making the Aakash 2.
