Airtel Launches Number Locker – Keep Your Mobile Number Active For Just Rs. 150
Airtel, the leading telecom conglomerate has recently come up with an innovative service namely “Number Locker” for its prepaid subscribers across the country. This service allows its subscribers to keep their number active for a long period of time. Airtel Number Locker service will really be benefited to the NRIs, who often travel abroad for long period or who want to preserve their favourite mobile number. With Number Locker service, Airtel subscribers can keep their mobile number active for a long period of 6, 12 or 24 months.
The activation procedure for Airtel Number Locker is easy, ’cause you just need to recharge your number (Which you want to preserve) with Rs.150/- and it will be preserved for the next 180 days (i.e. 6 months).
The notable point is that, after activating “Number Locker” service, your number will be keep activated for only 6 months, therefore, in order to extend the active period you need to recharge with another Rs.150/- denomination, for which your activation period will be extended by another 6 months. But you gotta recharge with Rs.150/- before end of the period.
For longer activation period, subscribers are required to recharge with greater recharge denominations, details are tabled below.

Rs.300/- 12 months
Rs.600/- 24 months
However, this service is already available for Airtel postpaid subscribers, which is being called, Safe Custody.
